MAC Cosmetics : Alluring Aquatic

This is the collection from Mac that totally got me blown away! Packaging is AMAZING. 

The colours don't remind you of summer at all but they are so mermaidy, it follows the entire Aquatic Ocean theme. The more I look at them, the more I fell in love with. If I could, I would've gotten the entire collection but I can't seem to be able to pull off any of the eyeshadows.. (major bummer). So I got 3 of their lipsticks and an extra dimension bronzer.

The Extra dimension bronzer is stunning, it is a the type of bronzer that leans towards the pink side. 

Perfect for adding a bronze effect on the entire face & as well as a blush during summer.

I've been reaching towards this as a blush since the day I got it. And it give me a natural flush and glow to my face. Really really natural, an almost "I look naturally this good" kind of look. Absolutely in love.

The little specks of shimmer that you see will not get transferred onto the face when u applied it. You will get a sheen effect instead.

Texture: Soft, creamy and pigmented.

Lasting power:  3 hrs ( applied with a light hand) 

Lipstick: Pet Me Please (frost)

Metallic frosty Pink

Very easy to apply, but need to build 2 layers at least for the true colour to show.

This is a beautiful lipsticks if you have a tan in my opinion. 

It is also very good for layering, adding dimension to any other lipsticks you put underneath or above.

Versatility: Can be worn alone or for layering.Good! 

Texture: Creamy but do accentuate dry lips.

Lasting power: 2 hrs

Lipstick: Enchanted One ( matte) 

This is a perfect nude ( lean a little brown)  that I've been hunting for. I am super excited when I tried it on. It sure doesn't look as good as when I had my bright lipsticks on according to my friends. BUT I just have to get it, NO MATTER WHAT. THIS LIPSTICK IS MINE! LOL. With a lipbalm, this lipstick just glide across the lips effortlessly.

Without a lip balm, this lipstick is not as drying as other matte lipstick I've wore, it is actually quite creamy but I do have to put a little more pressure when pursing my lips together to evenly apply it nicely.

I love to layer this and pet me please together and the colour is gorgeous! 

Texture: Creamy, matte 

Lasting power: 4-5 hrs

Lipstick: Goddess of the Sea ( Cremesheen) 

I've had a few of these plum berry lipstick for eg, the Urban Decay Revolutionary Lipstick in Venom..But when I swatch it, I'm really impressed, it is not as sticky as the cremesheen lipstick used to be, and the colour is just so pretty, it looks so moisturising and watery. When applied, it allows my natural lip colour to show through which makes this berry tone lipstick so wearable. And if you want a more intense colour, you can always add a few more layers. I really love it.

Texture: creamy, watery affect after application.

Lasting power: 4-5hrs wearing off with a slight stain on lips.

Definitely go on a Sunday to try their brunch! wake up how late you wish to and still able to eat breakfastttttt

But we waited for roughly 20-30 minutes for a table outside..

If it wasn't a sunny day, you can take the first 2 table outside, but if it was A SUPER SUNNY DAY, either you wait longer for a table inside or take tables further down cause its more shady.

Must Try: BIG BREAKFAST & truffle fries if you are a truffle fries lover.

YSL: BABYDOLL KISS & BLUSH #2

I know I'm really late on the new YSL product because I'm having finals and have to wait till now to do a review of it.

It retails for S$40 if i remember correctly. The colour that i bought was #2 which is a soft yellow tone pink. The colour is really lovely but I do wish that I've got it in #9 instead because i was contemplating between #2 and #9 which is a nude. Although on the 2nd thought I should have gotten it in brighter colours because brighter colours look flattering when it is matte.

I love it much more as blush than lipstick because this pink do look a bit too pale of a pink on my lips but a perfect doll pink for my cheeks. 

It can be applied lightly or layered to a full opaque lipstick. It is matte but not drying but not recommended to be applied on top of chapped or dry lips.

 Longevity wise , it wasn't  as long lasting as I expect it to be although it blends seamlessly into my cheeks when applied.  It would only last about 4 hours where as my Chanel cream blush lasted the entire day 8-10hrs and you still will be able to see a little bit of pink even at the 12 hr mark. 

I would not repurchase this product in this colour again, however I might get #9 for the nude that i'm always on a hunt or the brighter colours to see if brighter colour will last longer.

Korean Balmy Lipsticks

Alright, so here I have two lipsticks that are said to be moisturising, coloured and reasonably priced!

I got the APIEU lipstick in korea during their big sale and it was like about 2500KRW which is about S$3. Such a bargain, SO ITS A MUST BUY even when they are left with 2 colours, a green ( give off no colour but a lot and when i say a lot i mean MASSIVE amount of glitters) and a Neon Pink. Since there is a pink, why not get it? since it is only a couple of dollars and it smells likes candy too.

And the Etude House Jelly Lips Talk lipstick for 8500KRW roughly about S$9. This lipstick is highly  raved, so I thought this should be picked up as well. 

They are definitely lacking in opaque pigmentation, but the good thing about it is that it is moisturising but still provide you with colours that sheer but buildable.  The colours after you build them up, they still a lot your natural lip colour to peek through so it gives a more natural look and in my opinion, it gives me a more youthful look. 

They are also really soft and balmy, definitely forgiving to those that had slightly dry lips. Don't recommend using it on chapped lips because the product do accentuate the appearance of it. 

For me, i prefer the Etude House more because when u apply is after preping  your lips with lip balm and had get rid of the dead skin/chapped skin the whole lips look like you had a clear gloss on top of it. Very water-like appearance almost a glass like look, not glossy. Really love it on days when I want some colours on to look more put together. 

As for APIEU, it just give one a nice pink sheen to your lips which is something you can definitely find in the market. But Thumbs up for the price!
